The American Charity Calendar contest is open to all creative people
age 16-28 years and must be US legal residents or citizens.

First Year's Charity Calendar Theme:
"American Winter Holiday Traditions"

The art created for The American Charity Calendar must be related to the winter holiday season. The first year’s calendar will celebrate the variety of traditions and customs that families in America celebrate each year.

The art can illustrate anything that has a special memory, any winter holiday related themes, real places, foods, homes, people as well as any fantasy elements: fairies, elves, gnomes etc. We encourage creativity and unique ideas. The American Charity Calendar is to be enjoyed by all audiences: children and adults, regardless of ethnicity, race and religion.

Drawing Requirements:
Paper size will be: 13" x 16" and it must be in color. Most mediums can be used for this project: pencil, paint, ink, collage, etc. The winner of the contest will also create 25 small images that will be hidden behind each of the 25 numbered “windows”. Each person can submit more than one piece of art. (Click here to see past traditional calendar samples)

Please DO NOT send original art, instead send or email a color copy in the correct size.

Deadline:
The art must be submitted before June 1st, 2008 (no fees)

October 15, 2008: Announcement of accepted entries
