Inspire A Mind provides character-building and inspiration by exposing youth to art, cultural events, science, gardening, cooking & positive eating habits, yoga via hands-on learning and doing.
Inspirational people from our community will join us in hands-on projects; and some will give speeches about their lives, families, dreams, work and passions. Our mission is to inspire children and teens to find their passions, confidence and encourage them to pursue their dreams in life.
Inspire A Mind also plan to work with local businesses to help place teens as paid interns in work areas they are interested in pursuing as education and careers.
We are currently in the process of raising funds - private and public - for these important programs.
We hope to develope the Inspire A Mind camp in the near future: a new sleep-away summer camp that is an environmentally-friendly, partially self-sustainable organic camp for children. The philosophy of the camp is based on safety, respect and love. The camp fees work on a sliding scale so that children from all socioeconomic backgrounds can join the camp.
The children visiting Inspire A Mind camp will become naturalists, organic gardeners, cooks, bakers and healthy eaters, writers and photographers, athletes and yogis, woodworkers and painters, actors and singers, outdoor campers and much more. Children will learn in the process that they can do more than they ever thought possible.
TACC Foundation is a 503(c)(3) nonprofit public corporation. The specific purposes for TACC Foundation is to provide financial assistance to underserved youths in our community who want to participate in the Inspire A Mind, summer sleep-away camp. TACC will accept students on a financial "sliding-scale" basis, so ALL children have access to quality, creative and educational activities during school breaks. TACC organize an annual fundraiser, The Charity Calendar, selling Advent Style Christmas Calendars* and all proceeds are donated for TACC's Program, Inspire A Mind.
