Margaret Bacon is a Hapa writer born in Okinawa, Japan. As a child, she lived in
Florida, Mississippi, and Singapore, but Southern California was always home base. She studied in London, England before settling in San Francisco where she now resides with her family which includes four cats.
Currently, she writes primarily for nonprofit, community, and alternative publications though she’s also worked on a daily and taught creative writing with WritersCorps, a program of the San Francisco Art Commission. She was also a weekly contributor to The DailyOM, an inspirational website. She blogs (very infrequently) on thoughts.com.
In between yoga, knitting, gardening, reading, playing tennis, teaching senior exercise classes, and experimenting with vegan baking, Margaret is working on a novel or two, sometimes simultaneously (or so she tells herself).
Margaret is co-founder, with Jason Wyman, of 14 Black Poppies, an organization dedicated to fostering arts, wellness and community to individuals and organizations. For more information, please visit www.14blackpoppies.com.
