Jada Fitch, originally from Sebago Maine, graduated from the Maine College of Art with a bachelors degree in illustration in 2006 at the age of 22. Her work is very adaptable, and can easily be applied to book illustration, children’s illustration, magazine and editorial illustration, advertising, poster and album design, greeting cards, t shirt design, logo, as well as fine art. She works mainly in pen & ink, coloring mostly in Photoshop, and occasionally watercolor. Themes that she most enjoys drawing are sci fi/ fantasy based, or nature/ animal themed.

Jada enjoys researching subject matter before starting a piece and spends a lot of time watching nature shows. She moved to the Los Angeles area in 2006 in search of more illustration opportunities, but decided that Maine suits her better is now living back in Portland.

What is the Charity Calendar?

Much like the advent calendars in many European countries, the American Charity Calendar is an exquisite piece of artwork (13” x 15 3/4”) displaying twenty-five small perforated “windows”, labeled with each day’s date, starting with December 1st and ending on the 25th. Behind each of the twenty-five numbered hidden “windows”, is an illustration that relates each day’s corresponding television episode. With this picture, viewers can predict how each day’s television episode might unfold.

Make every day count in the last winter holiday month of the year whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanza or any other special tradition. TACC’s first year’s theme: “How Winter Holidays are Celebrated in Different Cultures”.
